Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This policy describes SyncWave at www.syncwave.club. For privacy questions or a data request, contact gabbyapp7@gmail.com.

Information we access and store

When you connect Spotify or Google/YouTube, we receive account identifiers, a display name, basic profile information (which can include your email), and authorization tokens. Your provider handles sign-in; SyncWave does not receive your password. We encrypt saved authorization tokens.

We access playlist information and track/video metadata needed to preview, search, match, and create the playlists you request. We save transfer progress, results, selected matches, and error information so you can review and resume transfers.

How information is used and shared

We send search queries and selected playlist entries to the relevant music provider to perform your transfer. Hosting, database, and monitoring services process operational data on our behalf. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Google API data is used to provide the user-facing playlist features described here, subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

Matching uses deterministic software rules. Provider content is not used to train machine-learning models. Optional error monitoring omits request payloads, authorization details and exception local variables; hosting services may maintain operational/security logs.

Cookies and retention

A necessary session cookie keeps your connection associated with your browser. Its lifetime is renewed while you use the app and is limited to 14 days per issued cookie. Transfer history and encrypted credentials remain until you delete the history, disconnect the account, or delete your SyncWave data.

Search results normally expire after one hour. Track mappings expire after seven days without an update. Expired records are removed during periodic cleanup. Aggregate API-usage diagnostics are kept for up to 30 days. Backup and hosting-log retention depends on the deployed infrastructure; contact us for current details or a deletion request involving backups.

Your controls

Use the home page to disconnect stored provider credentials or delete your SyncWave session data; use History to delete an individual transfer. Active transfers must finish before these controls can run. These actions do not delete the playlists already created in your provider account. Shared non-account mapping/search caches expire as described above.

You can also revoke access in Google account permissions or Spotify account apps. For data you can no longer access through the browser session, email the privacy contact above. We may need to verify your relationship to the data.

Provider policies and changes

SyncWave uses YouTube API Services. See Google Privacy Policy, Google API Services User Data Policy, and Spotify Privacy Policy. Material changes to data use will be disclosed here; additional consent will be requested when required.
